About Neolit

Neolit was conceived with an image in mind: a stone, polished by time, but with a strong presence. Rooted in classic serif traditions, it takes a more expressive, contemporary turn through decisive features like sturdy drop terminals, tense curves, and a subtly condensed structure. Its transitional backbone is tempered by a deliberate use of Translation contrast, a quiet nod to old-style serif forms. This internal rhythm lends a sense of movement to the letterforms, introducing a raw, almost materic quality that contrasts with Neolit’s more polished and balanced shapes.

Designed as a text typeface that balances clarity and character, Neolit performs across scales. In continuous reading, it offers a steady, readable rhythm ideal for long-form typography and editorial settings. At display sizes, its sharp detailing and confident proportions reveal a sculptural precision that adds presence and refinement across branding, identity systems, editorial and book design.

With 12 styles from Regular to ExtraBold, plus true italics, Neolit’s versatility is extended by an expanded Latin character set and OpenType features including circled and squared numerals, fractions, case-sensitive forms, and contextual alternates.

Neither nostalgic nor neutral, Neolit embodies quiet strength — a serif typeface with presence and restraint. It bridges the tradition of book typography with the needs of contemporary design, offering designers a reliable, expressive tool built to endure. Like the stone that inspired it: shaped by history, refined by use, and made to last.
